Arthur Herbert Johns' Obituary
Arthur Herbert Johns of Lewes, DE, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather died and was called to his heavenly home on April 5th, 2024. He was born on August 4th, 1929, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn M. Johns; his son, Arthur "Chip" H. Johns, Jr. (spouse Kathleen) of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; his daughter, Anne L. Johns of Milton, Delaware; his two granddaughters, Elizabeth Johns Miller (Michael) and Hillary Johns Major (Justin); and his four great-grandsons, Jack Arthur Miller, Beau Alan Miller, Everette Arthur Major, and Cal Brewer Major. Art was predeceased by his sisters Annette Johns, Irene Smith, Gwen Albright, Margie Summers, and Elizabeth Albright.
Art and Marilyn lived in several states during his 30-year career with General Electric, including NY, NJ, OH and KY. They retired to the beach in Lewes, DE and have enjoyed over 30 years here. He was a member and devoted servant of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Rehoboth Beach and enjoyed time in his home workshop repairing and refinishing old furniture. Art was known to be a kind and loving friend and neighbor and a strong witness to his Christian Faith.
