Arlene Astrid Savona's Obituary
Arlene Astrid Savona, 75, of Milton, DE, formerly of Sayreville, NJ and Brooklyn, NY, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Deerfield Beach, FL. She was born in Manhattan, NY on November 5, 1942, daughter of the late Stanley and Astrid (Anderson) Harrison.
Arlene was the loving wife of Joseph Savona; together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. She will forever be remembered for her warm smile, love of life, and contagious laughter. Family was always her first priority, whether it was attending the grandkids’ performances, lending an empathetic ear, or celebrating the holidays together. In retirement, she and Joe traveled the world. Her kids affectionately called them “the poster children for retirement.”
Together, Joe and Arlene had three children: Doreen Ruffe, Karen Cutti and Joseph Savona; and eight grandchildren: Megan, Jonathan, Danielle, Emily, Lauren, Rachel, Dana and Sean.
Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held in late April at the Paynter’s Mill Manor House, Milton, DE.
Interment take place on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Arlene’s memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children - Attn: Office of Development, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
