Arlene Robertson Lucajko's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Arlene Robertson Lucajko on May 8, 2026, at the age of 88 in Lewes, Delaware. Arlene was surrounded by the love of her devoted family and dear friends.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Arlene attended Roxborough High School, where she met the love of her life, Anthony J. Lucajko Jr.. The two married in 1958 and built a beautiful life together, raising their three daughters in Philadelphia.
Arlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked for Johnson & Johnson for more than 25 years before retiring with Anthony to Lewes, Delaware. A faithful member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Arlene lived her faith daily through kindness, generosity, and compassion for others.
She was known for her bubbly personality, charitable spirit, love of jewelry, and incredible culinary skills that brought family and friends together. Never one to slow down completely, Arlene embraced retirement by pursuing the hobbies she loved most, especially her final career at Harry K Jewelry in Rehoboth Beach. Arlene brought energy, warmth, and vitality to everything she did and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Arlene is survived by her loving daughters, Dawn Cowhey and Andrea Cabacungan (husband Mark); her cherished grandchildren, Kelsey Cowhey, Kara Cowhey Skalamera (husband Michael), Robert Burns, and Tyler Timberlake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irene Robertson; her beloved husband, Anthony J. Lucajko Jr.; her sister, Katherine Robertson; her daughter, Denise Burns; and her son-in-law, Joseph Cowhey.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with a viewing from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to Mass. Interment will take place at Westminster Cemetery on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice of the Delmarva Peninsula or The Harry K Foundation in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
