Anthony Jiuliano's Obituary
Anthony Jiuliano, age 79, of Lewes, DE, was born May 21, 1930 to the late Angelina (Chiodo) and Michele Giuliano passed away on February 26, 2010, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. His birth name was Antonio and he grew up on Mechanic Street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA. He had three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Jiuliano served with the U.S. Navy aboard the battleship, USS New Jersey during the Korean War from September 1950 to July 1954. A combat related injury left him with a hearing disability.
He graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD with an electronics engineering degree. He worked for AT&T for 30 years.
He married Mary Louise Marathon on September 8, 1956 and his son John Anthony Jiuliano was born on January 24, 1965. He was devoted to his family and he and his wife Mary were married for 53 years. He always enjoyed playing golf, growing a wonderfully productive garden each year, and being a handyman around his home and his son's home. He was a devout Catholic, Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary, son John, two beautiful granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Jordan, a younger sister, Mary Anne Boisbrun and an older brother Stanley Jiuliano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 2, 11:00 AM, at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, DE Route 1 North of Five Points, Lewes, DE. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday beginning at 10:15 AM. Interment will be on Wednesday, March 3, 10:00 AM, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE with US Navy Military Honors .
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Jiuliano requested that contributions be made to the Building Fund at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958.
