Anthony Vincent Della Vecchia's Obituary
Anthony Vincent Della Vecchia, age 81, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware.
Anthony was born on April 21, 1944, in Queens, New York, the beloved son of the late Vincent and Rose (Antico) Della Vecchia. He was raised with strong family values that stayed with him throughout his life.
Anthony shared a devoted and loving marriage with his wife, Mary Alice Della Vecchia. Together they built a life grounded in commitment, faith, and family, sharing many years of companionship, support, and love. Their bond was a steady source of strength and comfort to those around them.
Anthony proudly worked as a photographer and was a longtime member of the Printers Union, where he was respected for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic.
Outside of work, Anthony found his greatest joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, especially the cherished time spent on the water with his best pal, Jay. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, expressing himself through music, and remained steadfast in his faith, which guided him throughout his life.
Anthony will be deeply missed by all who knew him—for his quiet strength, warm heart, gentle humor, and unwavering loyalty to family and friends. His presence brought comfort and steadiness, and his memory will continue to live on in the stories shared and the love he gave so freely.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Della Vecchia; his daughter, Theresa Werley, and her husband, John Werley; his sons, Robert A. Della Vecchia and adopted son Warren Shih, and his wife, Brenda Perez; his granddaughter, Rose J. Ceralli; his sister, Elaine Della Esposito; his niece, Lorraine Casella Campanella, and her husband, Luigi Campanella; and his nephews, James Casella and his wife, Josephine, and Charles Casella and his wife, June.
