Anne Marie Lindner's Obituary
Anne Marie (Callahan) Lindner, age 74, of Lewes, DE, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. Mrs. Lindner was born March 18, 1932 in Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Maher) Callahan.
Mrs. Lindner moved to Lewes 12 years ago from Hastings on the Hudson, Westchester County, NY where she served on the Drug Guidance Council. She was also a realtor in New York and worked in the Real Estate Department of a Manhattan, NY law firm conducting closings. Together with her husband, she raised five children. In her early years of employment, she was a nursery school teacher. She was a member of St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John P. Lindner; two daughters, Mary Pat Dailey and her husband Mark of Fulsear, TX, and Kathleen DeGrandpre and her husband Mike of Missoula, MT; three sons, John Lindner and his wife Maureen of Hastings on the Hudson, NY, Steven Lindner and his wife Alyss of Mt. Vernon, NY, and Lawrence Lindner and his wife Patty of Havertown, PA; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Margaret, Melissa, Mary Kate, Annie, Patrick, Ella, Mabel, and John Patrick; her sister, Eileen Dowd and her husband Ray of Lewes, and her brother, Lawrence Callahan and his wife Lucille of Frederick, MD.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 29, 11 AM, at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, Delaware Route 1 north of Five Points, Lewes, with Celebrant, Father Jim Hreha. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Avenue, Lewes, DE 19958.
