Anne Porter Embert's Obituary
Anne Porter Embert, age 92, died September 2, 2010 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, DE. She was born in Greensboro, MD, on August 8, 1918.
Anne graduated from Greensboro High School and Duke University where she became an ardent fan of the Blue Devils. She worked for the Maryland Department of Social Services until retirement. She lived in Greensboro, MD until moving to Rehoboth Beach, DE in 1993 where she was a member of All Saints' Episcopal Church and worked at the Church’s Thrift Shop. She volunteered at the Rehoboth Art League and was a member of the Rehoboth VIA. She enjoyed reading, especially biographies and various newspapers, dining out, and spending time with her family and her two cats.
She is survived by her daughter Patti Embert of Sausalito, CA and her granddaughter, Jessica Moore of Lewes, DE. She was predeceased by her daughter Kay Moore of Lewes, DE.
