Anna Link's Obituary
Anna Rita (Bell) Link, age 85, of Lewes, DE died Friday, July 14, 2006, from congestive heart failure at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE.
Mrs. Link was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Raymond Daniel Bell and Helen Veronica (McLaughlin) Bell.She was the wife of William Everett Link for 60 years who survives her.
Mrs. Link was born in Saint Anthony of Padua Parish, and was a member in Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Philadelphia; Annunciation Parish in Havertown, PA, & Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Bally, PA. For eighteen years she attended Saint Edmunds Parish in Rehoboth Beach and St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Lewes. During that time she served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister to the sick at Harbor Health Care, the Women's Sodality, and the Renew Program. She was also a member of the Bible Study Fellowship. Anna had resided in Philadelphia, PA; Havertown, Delaware County, PA; Bechtelsville, Berks County, PA; and retired to Lewes, DE 18 years ago. Mrs. Link attended Saint Anthony of Padua Parish School; Audenreid High School in Philadelphia, and Reading Area Community College in Reading, PA. She worked for AT & T , Bell Telephone, and Saks Fifth Avenue. She was active in Cub Scouts, the West Philadelphia Catholic Boys Parents Association; Archbishop Prendergast Parents Association's Fashion Show, and worked on the Annual Fair for the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Bally. She was a dedicated participant in the Read Aloud Delaware Program for many years and helped with Meals on Wheels. Anna was an avid watercolorist. She was the Mother of 14 children: William Christopher Link of Philadelphia; Patricia Canby of Lewes, DE; Dennis Christopher Link of Lansdale, PA; Judith Salvatore of Milton, DE; Joseph John Link, of Town Bank, NJ; Gerard Link, of Lititz, PA; Maryellen Fullmer of Lewes, DE; Loretta Link-Esterly, of Boyertown,PA and Lewes, DE; Raymond Link of Middletown, DE; Veronica Link and Felicia Cannon, both of Milton, DE. She was predeceased by 3 children: Baby Joseph Link, Baby David Link, and Brian Patrick Link; a sister Rita Bell and a brother Charles Bell. Also surviving are a brother Daniel Bell; 26 grand children: Christopher Link, Dennis Link, Jr, Maureen Gray, Erik Link, Gina Marie Link, Alicia Salvatore, Laurea Salvatore, Emily Link, Patrick Link, Brian Link, Sean Fullmer, Megan Fullmer, Christopher Fullmer, Hannah Link Fitzgerald,Liam Esterly, Seth Esterly, Kyle Link, David Link, Ethan Link, Evan Link, Alyssa Link, Ryan Cannon, Kellen Cannon, Tara Cannon, Erin Cannon and Justin Cannon. There are also five (5) great grandchildren: Jessica Link, Meredith Gray, Andrew Gray, Annemarie Gray and Aidan Gray. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday July 18, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Saint Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Route 1 at Five Points, Lewes, DE where friends may call from 10:00 Am until 12 noon. Burial will take place at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA on Wednesday July 19, 2006 at 11:00 A.M.
