Anna Crisco lama's Obituary
Anna (Crisco) Lama, age 91, of Bridgeville, DE died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Chancellor Care Center, Delmar, DE. She was born July 24, 1914 in Tams, WV daughter of the late Andrew and Rosie Crisco.
Mrs. Lama was co-owner of a grain, produce and poultry farm before retiring in 1976. She was a former member of the State Farm Bureau. She also graduated from the Chicago School of Nursing with a degree in Practical Nursing in the mid 1970's. Mrs. Lama was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Seaford where she was a former member of the Ladies Catholic Guild.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lama was preceded in death by her husband, Dosse R. Lama in 1976 and by five siblings, brothers, Stanley, Sr. formerly of Felton, DE, Anthony and Michael Crisco both formerly of Bridgeville, and sisters Pauline Rusin formerly of Baltimore, and Helen Ryan formerly of Bridgeville. She is survived by her daughter Frances (Lama) Givens & her husband Monroe of Seaford; two grandsons, Monnie Givens & his wife Judy of Newark, DE and Dosse Givens and his wife Riva of Seaford; three granddaughters, Mary Justice & her husband Mike of Newark, DE, Annelle O'Neal & husband Joseph of Laurel, DE, and Carolyn Kline & husband Ray of Palmyra, VA; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; a sister Mary DeRooy of Seaford; and 8 nieces and 5 nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, 11 AM, September 13 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 Stein Highway, Seaford. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Father Joseph Hurley will be the celebrant. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, Bridgeville, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 600 N. DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.
