Ann Marie Perogine's Obituary
Ann Marie Perogine, age 66 of Lewes, DE, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at her residence. She was born on Saturday, August 19, 1944 daughter of the late Henry Ross and Ann (Lukaszewicz) Kozicki.
Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, she spent much of her childhood as a dancer and graduated from Wilmington High School in 1962. She worked as a secretary for the DuPont Company and as a graphic artist for Farley Printing Company.
Ann Marie's greatest passion was being a mother and grandmother. She was always able to provide great comfort to those around her. She enjoyed cooking, pampering her pets and relaxing on the beach or on her boat.
She believed everything in life happens for a reason. Her positive attitude and strong faith in God allowed her to win her first batttle with cancer more that 10 years ago. She resumed teaching aerobics for three years and practiced Yoga to help her relax and reflect. She later used these skills to become a 10 year instructor of Yoga and Meditation, where she touched the lives of many who enjoyed her teachings.
Ann Marie was an active member of the Midway Assembly of God Church, Lewes serving as a greeter and as a guide for the Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Sante D. Perogine of Lewes; one son, Dana A. Teoli and wife Michele of Newark, DE; one grandson, Michael Teoli of Newark; one sister, Carol A. Barbour and husband Jim of Lewes, DE; two step-sons: David Perogine and wife Suzanne and Michael Perogine and wife Maria, all of Newark, DE; one step-daughter, Sandra DiStefano and husband Albert of Newark, DE; and five step-grandchildren: David, Stephen, Elena, Anthony, and Daniel.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at 12:00 pm (noon) at Midway Assembly of God, 34677 Old Postal Lane, Lewes, DE. The family will greet friends from 11:00 am to noon at the church. Interment will be private at a later date. Arrangements by: Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
