Ann Marie B. Nepa's Obituary
Ann Marie B. Nepa, age 57, of Lewes, DE passed away at home on Thursday, July 14, 2016. She was born Monday, November 10, 1958 in Carbondale, PA, daughter of Anthony and Cathy (Crisalli) Telemko.
Ann Marie was a 1976 graduate of Carbondale High School in Carbondale, PA. She attended cosmetology school in Scranton, PA and continued on to be a hair dresser at the Globe Store in Scranton for a few years. While working as a para educator at NEIU she attended Marywood University where she graduated with a teaching degree in Special Education. She worked at Tri County as an autism specialist. She taught children with autism throughout her career and was a substitute teacher at numerous schools across PA, OH and DE. After retiring to Lewes she volunteered for Lewes in Bloom.
Ann Marie loved going to the beach, flowers, gardening and shopping. She was a member of the Lewes Book Club and Yoga Club. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Ann Marie is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Louis C. Nepa; her children: Jason Nepa and his wife Jessica, of Moosic, PA and Tara Steiner and her husband, Matthew of Ranson, WV; her grandchildren: Berkley Nepa, Landon Steiner and Cole Nepa; and her sister, Diane Telemko of Hagerstown, MD.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958 where friends may call beginning at 11:00 AM.
Friends may also call on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.
Burial will follow the services at the Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Savannah Road, Lewes, DE.
The family suggests memorial contributions go to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke, DUMC Box 3624, Durham, NC 27710.
