Ann "Bess" Leslie Ballinger's Obituary
Ann Leslie Ballinger, age 68, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Beebe Hospital, surrounded by her family, after battling COPD over the past few years.
So many of her friends and family have shared what we all knew Leslie to be - kind, beautiful, intelligent, loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for her successful career in real estate, her sense of humor and quick wit, her passion for literature and the love she had for her family and for her dogs: Dewars, Blizzard, and Destiny.
Leslie was born on June 5, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to Richard D. Tikiob, Sr. and Ann D. Tikiob. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ann D. Tikiob. She survived by her husband of 39 years, Dale (Skip) Ballinger; son, Eric T. Biase; father, Richard D Tidiob Sr; sister, Sue T. Carlson and her husband Richard M Carlson; brother Richard D. Tikiob, Jr. and his wife Leana; brother, David E. Tikiob and his wife Cindy; niece Natalia A Tikiob; four nephews: Matthew M. Tikiob, William W. Tikiob, Ryan J. Carlson, Aaron G. Tikiob; her best friend, Joanne Gardner;18 cousins and many extended family members and friends whom she loved.
A Celebration of Leslie's Life will take place on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, 19958, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Leslie's memory may be made to support her love of dogs with gifts to the Delaware Humane Society (https://delawarehumane.org/donate/donate-now/#memorials) and will be acknowledged by Sue Carlson at [email protected].
