Where to begin. It is a very sad time. An end of an era of treasured lives fully embedded in the community of Lewes, Delaware. Those from far away giving what no others could give to a community which was not from them but one which came to be defined by them. My father, Nizar Kuseybi came to Lewes in 1964. He delivered every baby in Beebe from1964 until he passed away in 1978. He was was the sole OB/GYN in Beebe for all of those years. Times have changed. Ammo(uncle) Anis and my dad were room mates in medical school in Damascus Syria, along with my father in law Mohammad Atassi. They all came to America for medical training and remained. All were at Beebe at one time together along with my Uncle, Kamal Ksebe. It was the best of all times in Lewes, at least for me. Beebe was a family of friends and kindness. Really, all of Lewes was a family, top to bottom. I could go on but Ammo Anis was always present for me even as I moved and lived away. When I would see or talk to him, it was an immediate transport back to childhood. Loving, caring, fatherly, brotherly, son, everything which one could want. Only kindness and caring. We will miss you Ammo. A fixture in the community. A fixture in our lives. A fixture in our soul. Your greatness will stay with all of those whom you touched. May God bless you in eternity. Give my love to all and may we be together again.
It was an honor and privilege to work for Dr Saliba at the Sea Shore Medical Group. It started my life time carrier in healthcare. As many others have stated he was a very kind and caring sole to all who come across his path. I feel very blessed that he was placed in my life's journey. Once you met Dr Saliba there was a immediate bond that would never be broken. Prayers to the family for peace and comfort.
Anis was a wonderful friend and will be forever missed
On behalf of the Eschenbach family, I want to thank Dr. and Mrs. Saliba for the wonderful care they took of Sam and Dorothy, my parents. And the fun thing, their medical office was located on land they bought from Sam and Dorothy. Wonderful people who will long be remembered by the Sussex County communities. Joan Eschenbach Ohl
Sincere condolences to Dr. Salina’s wife, family
and friends.
It was an honor to work with Dr. Saliba. I will always remember the passion he had for helping others and the huge contribution to healthcare for our community. Always willing to help others and willing to share his wealth of knowledge in healthcare or with his gardening tips. I will be forever grateful for all his ongoing support during my healthcare career.
We want to share our condolences to the family and our sorrow for their loss.
We represent the Wingo family( Elsie Dunning Wingo) who became a great friend to Dr. Saliba as well as a patient. He provided great healthcare to our family/ He was kind, and generous. I started at Beebe in 1988. It was a privilege to know and work with Dr. Saliba. He was a talented physician with a kind, gentle soul. He had a nickname for me and every time I saw him, he greeted me. If he had time he would stop to talk. I missed him when he retired. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Dr. Saliba epitomized the 3 A's of an effective healer: available, affable and able. For younger surgeons, he could always be counted on to provide sage advice regarding technique and potential pitfalls. He gave so much of his time outside of direct patient care to benefit Beebe Healthcare. We want to extend our condolences to his family and thank them for sharing him with us.
