Andrew Levine's Obituary
Andrew Levine, age 76 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021, at his residence. He was born on November 28, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Arnold S. and Libby (Zibelman) Levine.
Andrew grew up in Lower Merion, PA. After graduating from Columbia with a PHD in philosophy, he went on to teach at the University of British Columbia for three years. He then taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1974-2004. Andy was a prolific and skilled writer, author of many books, papers and recently a weekly contribution to the CounterPunch. This was very important to him as it allowed him to reach more people than with his past work. Andy always had dogs and his dog was at his side when he passed away while resting in his easy chair.
He is survived by his sister, Ricki McKenzie of Somerville, MA.
All services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
Memorial contributions may be made in Andrew's memory to CounterPunch, PO Box 228, Petrolia, CA 95558 or www.counterpunch.org.
