Your works have directly & indirectly brought great positive change & learning to my life.
I married your daughter Baina, at your beautiful home in upstate NY.
Baina & I enjoyed so much your company, your cooking, and working in your extensive garden all the way down to the river.
Remember the circus we created for your enjoyment just outside your dining room window. The many beautiful birds & acrobatic squirrels seeking to feed on seeds.
The family of shy deer & the mischievous creature burrowing under the house.
Now you are with a great cloud of geese watching over us.

Amphai will be missed greatly. She was our family, and an adopted grandmother to both myself and my children. When my kids were younger they could not pronounce her name so she became and forever will be their “Pie”. She brought joy and love to our lives. Amphai loved to cook for my kids and made them their favorite, banana pancakes and egg rolls. She Always made sure that my husband and the boys were well fed. She loved to hear my daughter play the piano and enjoyed teaching her to paint. Amphai was honest and told the truth whether you wanted to hear it or not. She loved to speak to us in French and give us new phrases to say. She always had a smile and gave us the biggest of hugs. Amphai will always remain in our hearts.

Amphai has been a part of our family for over 35 years. She affectionately has been a 2nd mom for Dan & I, a friend to our moms,a grandmother to our children & our grand children. Amphai attended our weekly Sunday dinners,celebrated holidays, birthdays, weddings, reunions & any other reason to celebrate Family/friend gatherings including when her family came to visit. Amphai was very talented in cooking, gardening,flower arrangements,sewing & art. She shared her talents with us & taught our daughters to cook international cuisine, taught me how to take care & grow plants inside & outdoors, gave art lessons to some of our grand children & her last project was teaching our son Japanese painting. When we moved to Delaware Amphai moved also to remain close to our family.words cannot express what a blessing Amphai has been to us and we’re thankful for God’s gift of “our Amphai “ in our lives.
