Amanda “Mandi” Gayle Messick of Lewes, DE, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford, DE. She was born in Burlington, VT, on March 3, 1986, daughter of Emil J. North of Mooers Forks, NY and Billie Gayle (Richardson) Messick of Lewes.
Mandi was raised in Sussex County where she attended Rehoboth Elementary and Cape Henlopen High School (Class of 2004). Mandi had a passion for art throughout her childhood eventually blossoming into a talented artist. She loved all media, especially pencil, charcoal, and oil. Mandi was always quick with a smile and loved making people laugh with her funny stories. She had a quick wit and a huge heart – she would give you the shirt off her back. You could always count on Mandi to be there for you. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend who will be sorely missed by so many.
