Amanda "Mandy" Woody's Obituary

Amanda “Mandy” Woody, age 37 of Lewes, DE, passed away on October 14, 2020. She was born on July 9, 1983 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of Josephine C. Keffala and the late John T. Woody.
Mandy was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Class of 1999. She was employed by J&R Schugel Trucking as a professional cross-country truck driver for 7 dedicated years. Mandy loved driving and the opportunity it gave her to see the entire country. She loved her family and friends dearly, always keeping in touch while on the road. Mandy was a giving soul and helped people whenever she was able. Above all, she cherished time spent with those who were most dear to her. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her father, Mandy was preceded in death by her brother, Shawn T. Woody. She is survived by her mother, Josephine C. Keffala of Lewes, DE; her sisters: Eva Woody of Philadelphia, PA, Joanna Woody of Lewes, DE, and Tina Herzog of Lewes, DE and Krista Woody and Kaitlyn Woody both of Philadelphia, PA; her nieces and nephews: Destiny Mackay, Arriona Mackay, Julius Torres, Gianna Torres, Jovanni Torres, and Jozi Rozay Cross and Reynaldo Garcia, Zuriayah Garcia, Lennox Garcia, Alexander Woody, and Aziiyah Ferrell; her numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends; and special family friend, John McGovern.
A Mass will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks must be worn and social distancing protocols must be observed at all times by all attending or participating in any aspect of the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Mass cards in Mandy’s memory.
