Allan J. Lynch's Obituary
Allan J. Lynch, age 71, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Rehoboth Beach,, DE, on Friday, June 7, 1940, son of Doris Marie (Messick) Lynch of Millsboro, DE and the late Flemural Alfred Lynch, formerly of Roxana, DE. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred F. Lynch.
Mr. Lynch was born and raised in Sussex County, DE, third generation. He was the owner/operator of the Captain's Table Restaurant and the Bay Road Package Store, both on Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach. He was a member of the Rehoboth Beach Patrol for 12 years, a 22 year member of the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department (1962 - 1984) and a member of the Lions Club.
He loved golfing, surf fishing and especially spending time at his North Carolina home in the mountains. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pansy E. Lynch of Rehoboth Beach; two sons: Jerry Lynch of Millsboro, DE and Michael Lynch of Lewes, DE; two daughters: Renee' Howard and her husband Albert of Coatsville, PA and Lisa Lynch of Millsboro, DE; seven grandchildren: Kala and Alieda Lynch, both of Lewes, Danielle and Justin Howard, both of Coatesville, PA, Miranda Blizzard of Roxana, DE, and Jason Lynch and Ronald Paul Blizzard, both of Raleigh, NC; and one son-in-law, Ronald Blizzard of Rehoboth Beach.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Conley's United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyn's Way, Lewes, DE 19958.
