Alice McKenna Fahringer's Obituary
Alice McKenna Fahringer, age 89 of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Harbor Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, in Lewes, DE. She was born on December 18, 1933, in Clarkson, NY, daughter of the late Nathaniel J. and Rose M. (Stork) McKenna.
Mrs. Fahringer was a long-time resident of Ridgefield, CT and Melbourne, FL. She enjoyed a lengthy career in healthcare as an office manager, retiring after many dedicated years. An avid traveler, she enjoyed visiting new destinations, and lived in Cambodia, Germany, and the Ivory Coast. Spending time with her family and friends was always cherished, above all. Mrs. Fahringer was a loving and devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and sister. She was loved by many and will be genuinely missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fahringer was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Warren Coppinger, who passed away on August 6, 1971; her second husband, Richard Charles Fahringer, who passed away on March 7, 2015; her brother, Jospeh Nathaniel McKenna, and her sister, Jane Frances McKenna Ranieri, and her stepson David Fahringer. She is survived by her children: Alicia Anne (Coppinger) Albarado, Paul Nathaniel Coppinger, Stephen Matthew Coppinger, Diana Marie (Coppinger) Corrarino, Cynthia Coppinger, and Thomas Warren Coppinger; her stepson: Daniel Fahringer; her grandchildren: Cynthia, Maria, Richard Albarado, Brittany, Brendan, Bryan Coppinger, Michael, Matthew, Katie Healey, Thomas, and Meghan Coppinger; her brother, Matthew James McKenna, and her sister in-law Sue McKenna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 602 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10705. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven - Hawthorne, NY, 10 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532.
