RETIRED POLICE SERGEANT MASTER MASON Alfred "Topper" Matthew Davis, age 84 of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at his home. He was born on March 25, 1936 in St. Clairsville, OH, son of the late Alfred Read Obituary
A real good guy. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore. My condolences and prayers to the family.
I always believed that my Uncle Topper was the "coolest cat in shoe leather". He carried himself with so much confidence and charisma. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Something I always loved was the smell of his cologne. It was familiar and comforting. I had my first crab feast with you and you showed me how to pick crabs like a professional. When I turned 18, you got me my first car. I have never forgotten. When you became ill, you were always more concerned about my health than your own. Your thoughtfulness meant so much. Thank you Uncle Topper, for being someone that I could look up to and depend on. You will be greatly missed by all those who knew you.
All my Love,
Jacqui
Topper was more than a brother-in-law. He was a father figure and a good friend . He will be missed. Love, Tom and Linda Ewers
Mrs Davis, Lee and Lee Lee, Nick and I were so sad to hear of Topper's passing. We know he loved and cherished each of you. Nick always enjoyed his talks with Topper. He never failed to tell a good story and make him laugh. Please find comfort that he is no longer suffering and is at peace. Love and hugs to all of you. Nick and Vicki Cronauer
