Alexander Benjamin Emory Jr.'s Obituary
Alexander B. Emory, Jr., age 80, of Harrington, DE, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1944, to the late Alexander Emory, Sr. and Muriel Dorsey.
A passionate woodworker and handyman, Alex enjoyed working with his hands and taking on projects that allowed him to showcase his craft. He was also a dedicated racing enthusiast, sharing his love for the sport with his son and grandsons. An avid hunter, Alex relished spending time in nature and enjoyed many cherished moments with his family. Above all, he found joy in the company of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Alex was preceded in death by his son, Scott Emory, and his sister, Cathy Caulo.
He is survived by his sons: John (Paula) Emory of Milton, DE; Kevin Emory of Delaware; and Daniel (Heather) Emory of South Carolina. He is also survived by his brothers: William (Josephine) Emory, Robert Emory, and Joseph Emory, all of Harrington, DE. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Robert Emory and James (Shelby) Emory of Milton, DE, as well as his great-grandchildren: Owen Emory, River Emory, and Quinn Emory of Milton, DE. Alex also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Alice Ball for her friendship and compassionate caregiving during his final days.
Services will be private, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
