Bruce retired in September of 2018 after 40 years as an engineer with the DuPont Company, Chambers Works in Deepwater, NJ. Following retirement, he and his wife Beth moved to Rehoboth Beach where they built their dream home and looked forward to enjoying all that Rehoboth has to offer.

Bruce had many hobbies and found his passion in skiing and sailing. He was the mastermind and planner for several Hobie Cat National events and set the bar high for the gold standard of regattas. He and his wife raced Hobie 16s for many years, traveling throughout North America to compete in local and national regattas. Bruce loved to ski and was quite the expert, it was a joy to follow him down the slopes and try to replicate his classic European style. Bruce shared his skiing passion with his kids, and was able to take many ski vacations to his favorite mountain, Okemo, VT. Later in life Bruce learned to scuba dive and achieved his advanced open water certification, he wanted to make sure he could dive with his daughter on the Great Barrier Reef!
Bruce was a proud member of the Rehoboth Bay Sailing Association and Kings Creek Country Club. He had such a zest for life and is well known for his famous saying: "Who has more fun than us....Nobody!!"
