Albert Perron's Obituary
Albert G. Perron, 78 years old, of Stuart, Florida and Lewes, Delaware passed from this life on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Christiana Hospital, in Newark, Delaware. Born November 12, 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the husband of Trish Perron, married for 57 years. Al was honored to be a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and Honor Guard and a Korean War Veteran.
He retired as National Sales Executive for Beverage-Air, a commercial refrigeration bottling industry based in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Al loved golf, boating, fishing, travel and spending time with his family. He was an avid supporter of Special Olympics and ARC. He was a man with a great sense of humor, a talented artist, calm in the storm, true friend and a devoted husband.
Al is survived by his loving wife, Trish; daughter, Susan Perron, of Foxboro, Massachusetts; daughter and son-in-law, Janis Hanwell and Stephen Pratt, of Lewes, Delaware; daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Robert Falvey, of Orlando, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Flo Landry of Orrington, Maine; son, Albert J. Perron, of Arcadia, Florida; sister, Renee Aprille, of Hyde Park, Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Lacey Hanwell, Dane Pratt, Chelsea and Katherine Falvey; niece and husband, Laurie and Mark Marsters and children Meghan, Emily and Grace; nieces Denise Aprille, Linda McDermott; nephews, Frank Aprille, George McDermott.
The family would like to thank everyone for their countless prayers and gestures of love for a man who touched so many lives. They would also like to recognize the incredible caring and compassion of the Christiana Hospital medical team in Newark, Delaware.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 19, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Delaware Rt. 1 at Five Points, Lewes, Delaware. Private Entombment will follow at Bethel Methodist Cemetery on Savannah Road, Lewes. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
A Memorial Mass will also be held in July at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stuart, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be sent to Special Olympics, University of Delaware, 619 S. College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716.
Al lived his life by the following philosophy, "As you wander on in life, whatever be your goal, keep your eye upon the donut, and not upon the hole." For Al, the glass was always "half full!"
