Aideen Fuchs' Obituary
Aideen Fuchs, age 99, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Cadbury At Lewes in Lewes, DE. Mrs. Fuchs was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 28, 1909 to the late George W. and Helene (Perrin) Lyon.
Mrs. Fuchs and her late husband of 74 years, Robert H. Fuchs (August 2008), relocated from the Mt. Airy and Frederick, MD area to Lewes one year ago to be near their daughters. Mrs. Fuchs enjoyed a long career as an elementary school teacher in Montgomery Co., MD, primarily at Somerset Elementary. Once she retired, she volunteered for many years at Frederick Memorial Hospital, she enjoyed golfing with her husband, and spending winters in Florida.
Survivors include daughters Donna Wilson and Linda Phillips, both of Millsboro, DE; three grandchildren, Cheri Klunk of Chesapeake City, MD, Jaison Gehauf of Cumberland, MD, Heather Reynolds of Ft. Washington, MD; and two great-grandchildren Ellie Rose Klunk and Lyon James Reynolds.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, November 3, 2008, 1:00 P.M. in the Quiet Room at Cadbury at Lewes, Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, with Delaware Hospice Chaplain Gary Tulak officiating; a reception will follow in Assisted Living at Cadbury. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes.
