Aggie ! ....Truly glamorous! she will always remain glamorous in my mind’s eye, not a contrived or calculated glamour, just innate, radiating naturally from her very being, Accomplished, determined and formidable.
Aggie, forever in a green emerald gown, her head held high, slightly tilted back, her auburn-red tresses flowing over her shoulder, a wide but subtle smile of joy illuminating her face, a laugh that resonates in the heart of all that knew her.
Aggie, ever the consummate New Yorker, elegance and grit, unassuming style, adventurous yet stable with an abundance of common sense and a deep appreciation for whimsy.
Aggie, proudly embracing her beloved Italian heritage while breaking the boundaries in which she was raised, seizing the opportunities she sought out, blazing a trail few women of her generation dare take, meeting her decisions with courage and dignity.
Aggie, few surpassed her sharp sense of humor and quick wit, however, many a family
occasion found my equally witted sister sitting with Aggie, both humorously observing their surroundings, speaking in a not so quiet side stage whisper, which ultimately resulted in their unabashed laughter, make us all wanting to be in on the joke.
Aggie, when about to bestow her fans with a wise crack or quip her eyes lit up and widened with mischief, her smile broadened, while leaning in to the conversation she would deliver her punch line with impeccable timing, hand smacking down on the table always in joyful appreciation of her own humor.
Aggie, a light that shined bright on many souls, a light we were lucky to have in our lives.
Aggie, an entity I admired and will dearly miss. Thank you for so many wonderful memories and embracing me in to the family.
So Kid, I guess we’ll see you the next go round!
