Adeline D. Kaplan's Obituary

Adeline Dembo Kaplan, age 97 of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in the comfort of her home, with her family and caregivers by her side. She was born on September 8, 1922 in New York, NY, daughter of the late Herman and Lillian Dembo.
Mrs. Kaplan was a proud US Navy Veteran, honorably serving during World War II. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend whose strength, intelligence, and concern will be genuinely missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kaplan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene S. Kaplan, MD. She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Kaplan and her partner, Pam Everett of Lewes, DE and Jocelyn Kaplan and her wife, Idalie Adams of Boynton Beach, FL.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the services at St. Peters Pilottown Cemetery, Lewes, DE. Minyan will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the family home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mrs. Kaplan's memory to the Lewes Library, 111 Adams Avenue, Lewes, DE 19958, or the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, 30486 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.
