A. Christine Henning's Obituary
Agnes "Christine" (Simonsen) Henning age 96 of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Clay County, NE on Tuesday, April 14, 1914, daughter of the late John V. and Carrie (Hansen) Simonsen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William W. Henning, Sr, who died May 11, 2007.
Mrs. Henning proudly served in the Army during World War II as a registered nurse and received the American Theatre and European-African-Middle Eastern Service Ribbons.
She was a nurse at the Beebe Clinic in Rehoboth for 32 years.
She was a member of St. George Episcopal Chapel.
She is survived by three sons: William W. Henning, Jr. and John D. Henning, both of Lewes and Larry (Kathy) Henning of Eagle, WI and two granddaughters: Anna Henning and Carrie Henning-Smith.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. George Episcopal Chapel, 20322 Beaver Dam Road, Harbeson, DE with burial to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
