Mary Dooley
I was lucky to have met Sue when we worked together at the Ophthalmology office of Dr. Edward C. Watters, III. We hit it off from the start! We were both kindda silly, so we shared a lot of laughs. We got to know each better and we become friends instead of just co-workers. She was professional in dealing with the patients and in doing transcription, but we had some fun times at special lunches and get-togethers outside the office. After Sue retired and moved to Delaware to their beautiful retirement home, our boss (Claire) and I drove to Delaware and spent the night at her new home. We swam in her "wave" pool, the indoor pool and got the Grand Tour of her beautiful home she was so excited about purchasing. Of course her wanted to show off those big, furry macoon cats she and Chuck loved.
One Christmas Sue and Chuck surprised us by showing up without any notice at a luncheon with the girls from the office. It was a very long drive, but that didn't matter. They were both a fun-loving and spontaneous couple. Even when I retired we stayed in touch with long detailed emails discussing health and family issues.
Sue will always have a special place in my heart. My husband, Tim, and I send our deepest condolences to Chuck and the entire family. I know Sue has already gotten her "wings" and we will all join her soon.
Love and Prayers,
Mary & Tim Dooley
