Leona "Lee” Spencer, age 77, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away at home on Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was born in Jersey City, NJ, on Sunday, April 7, 1946, daughter of the late Stanley and Harriet (Czarnecki) Mazeski. Mrs. Spenc Read Obituary
Jim, we share in your sorrow. Lee will be greatly missed, but her warmth, joy, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. The courage and love both of you demonstrated will continue to inspire us.

When we first moved to Heritage Shores I was bit nervous about establishing new friendships. The first people we meet were Jim and Lee Spencer, our next door neighbors. There was an instant friendship! Every time Lee and I were together we would laugh! All we had to do was look at each other…and we would laugh!
Lee brought so much joy ! Loved all the outrageous stories she share with me! She definitely was a gift for me!💕
I will miss her tremendously.
Ironically, Lee’s love of reading was the catalyst that introduced us to a 50 yearlong friendship. While working in Kearfott Lee and I became great friends when we shared stories of the books we read. In her addition to her love for reading, she loved cooking as well, and had a true gift of hospitality. There were many a times I would be the beneficiary of that hospitality and one of her delicious meals. Lee loved to laugh and laugh we did, with tears running down our cheeks in uncontrollable laughter. She was a treasured friend and I will miss her deeply.
We have had the privilege and honor of knowing Lee for the past five years. She was the best friend and neighbor anyone who could wish to know. We discovered early on that we were born in the same town and shared many stories and childhood memories during our regular porch visits together. She was honest, up front and our most trusted friend. May she dance with the angels and rest in peace.
