Dale, Teresa And Family
I have so many memories of Uncle Buddy: the tire swing; playing softball at the family reunions; holidays with my aunts, uncles and cousins; family reunions in Middleburg; and my 50th birthday party that Uncle Frank and Uncle Buddy and Uncle Bobby came to. I looked up to each one of them.
What a reunion in heaven, I can imagine the look on the faces of Tommy, Bobby and Jack Shopland when Buddy showed up at the picnic table with a canvas bag filled with ice and loaded with Black Label and how they’ll talk politics for hours.
It is said that “He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; has earned the respect of intelligent men and the love of family and friends; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better then he found it, whether an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescinded soul; who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose life was inspiration; whose memory will last forever.” Uncle Buddy was this and so much more. We will miss him deeply.
With love,
Dale, Teresa and Family
