I had the immense fortune to have Sandy as my mentor at Tunnell Cancer Center. With patience (a lot of it, since I asked so many questions!), with sincere desire to make me the best employee TCC could have, she trained me and shared with me everything she knew. She truly wanted me to thrive and grow, and that's what I did. She was a beautiful example to follow. She was always the last one to leave, she worked so hard to make sure nothing would be missed on the clerical side of our job. What an inspiration she has been to me and I am sure, to everyone else at TCC. We shared the love for Greece and almond cookies. I am glad I got to see her and give some from my latest trip to Italy. Like others have said, she loved her family with all of her heart and I loved to hear the anecdotes about her last cruise or what her grandsons or daughters were doing. What I am today, my work ethic, the need to try and always do the right thing, I owe to her. I will miss her so much. Thank you, Sandy, for being a wonderful coworker and friend.
