Worked with Capt. Baker at E-8 in the 70's with a bunch of Hellraisers. He tolerated us nicely! RIP Brother.

I was honored and blessed to meet and know this awesome man through my sister, Dr Joyce K. Beam. As their love grew so did my love and respect for this man and I considered him to be a brother. He had such a gentle way with everyone he met and a gift to make you feel that you were the most important person in his life at that moment. We connected on our favorite sporting lives as baseball fans. I enjoyed his stories about the original Washington Senators. Bob, I will miss you. However, I know of your deep faith and abiding love through Jesus Christ and I look forward to the day when we can continue our friendship in eternity.

I worked with Bob at DCFD and in his property management work. He was a great guy to work with. I thought of him often over the last few years. Wish I had given him a call. May he Rest In Peace.
Bob Baker was my brother from another Mother. We were cousin’s and spent lots of hours together growing up.
He became a fire chief and I become a police chief.
As grown ups, we spent hours together doing grown up stuff, smoking cigars, drinking margaritas in Mexico and fishing there and golf. Hit the button and repeat that a lot and that’s some of the stuff we did best . When tomorrow comes without him remember him in your heart. I will always Will my brother. Russ Quinn
