I was so sorry to read about Joseph’s death in the Gazette. I will always remember him as Trevor’s friend from Mrs. Peterson’s class. He was smart, energetic, and athletic. He had a great sense of humor. I will always remember the fun times with school projects, field trips, Seashore Striders, and field days where he excelled. My heart goes out to your family. ❤️

I was so saddened to hear of Joe's passing. You have an awesome, close, and loving family, and I loved the tribute you wrote for your son and brother. I think of you all every day and hope we can visit again soon. Hugs to all and a big pat for Peanut.

Jojo was so much more than a friend to me. As a nurse, its easy to get sucked into the minutiae of always caring for others and forgetting about your own needs. Jojo always knew when I was having a bad day "by the tone of my hi"... he always asked me what I needed him to be to make it better. In his own "jojo" ways he taught me about growth, inner peace, and self love. The emotional vulnerability that we shared with each other will forever be my most treasured memory.
My other favorite moments were no matter how many times I told him I loved him as a friend Jojo always randomly "insisted on letting me down easy".
To his family: he really loved you all more than you could ever imagine-youre in my prayers
Joe, thank you for being such a kickass guy and genuine friend. I am so grateful for the good times we had in San Antonio, not to mention back home. It was pretty surreal for two Delaware boys to get to tear it up in Texas together for a while. Emily and I love you, man. I know you would have totally nailed the 'Texas summer attire' at the wedding. I promise to eat all of the breakfast tacos and drink all of the beers on the river I can in your honor. You'll always have a spot on our couch on gameday.

Dear Mary Beth, Joe. Gina. Brian, V,John There still are no words, but will always remember this fun kid with the smile as big as his personality and vice versa. So many ball fields, good times, happy times to keep in a special place always. My deepest sympathy. And I think you were right about Jack and Tommy.

A wonderful service for a wonderful man. I still can see and hear Joseph and my son Josh, their 10 yr old bodies wrestling and running through the house. Everything Eagle's. Joseph you live on in our memories and hearts. Love you.
