Dear Family Of Edna McLarty,
I met your dear mother 15 years ago in the Babylon Chorale. I was 35 and expecting my first born. Edna befriended me and as an alto we would sit together each Monday Evening. I had lost my father at a young age, Edna, the same age as my mom would often speak of her life as well. It was a common part of our lives. We would converse about Florida and the many things she loved to do. I enjoyed hearing of her adventures with her antiques and fairs. I enjoyed singing with Edna every Monday and was saddended when she decided to leave the Chorale. She told me it was time. I missed her very much. Edna was welcoming, funny, sincere and she made me smile! My thoughts are with your family at this time. I will always remember Edna, because she touched my life... and I am learning how precious this is as we journey on our own path. God Bless You and May the Lord Welcome And Bless Edna!

Scott and family-- my greatest sympathies to you all. It's a heartbreaker to lose your Mom, no matter how prepared you were, no matter how successful an adult you are. My heart is with you all as you adjust to losing this intelligent, funny and patient lady. God bless you.

I visited the McLarty home in the summer of 1986 while on motorcycle trip to Manhattan. Even though I surprised Scott with an unexpected phone call that day, I was welcomed to stop by to visit and meet the family. Please accept my condolences on the loss of your mother. From talks with Scott over many years, I learned your parents raised a great family in a loving home.

Edna was a special sister-in-law to me. She was kind, generous and caring. Christmas was very meaningful to our family and she graciously hosted all of us, along with her large immediate family. Her absence from our life, will be an adjustment. When we think of her, it will always be with love and adoration.
