Wallace, age 75, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on November 30, 1944, daughter of the late Gerard and Sarah Brown. Mrs. Wallace graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School in Brooklyn, NY. Her interests were many and varied, and included reading, playing cards, swimming, visiting casinos, and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her 8 siblings: Geraldine, Robert, Gerard, Dorothy, Patricia, Joanne, Lawrence, and Edward. She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 55 years, Charles; her children: Janet and her husband Donald, Michael and his wife Marie, Stephen and his wife Camie, and Joanne and her husband Neil; and her grandchildren: Michael, Bridget, Brendan, Sean, and Brooke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 532 Stein Highway, Seaford, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. A viewing will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE. Interment will be private. In memory of Roberta’s spirit and love for the holiday season, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her name to The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172, would be appreciated by the family.
