I did not know Rick. I am a volunteer with Oldies But Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue and felt compelled to write a note. Over the past few months I have seen many donations in Rick's memory. We here, at OBG, are so touched at everyone's thoughtfullness. Rick seemed like a very special person. Please know that helpless cockers in our rescue are getting their second chance through your kind donations. Rick's memory will live on in these loving and grateful creatures.
We were friends from the moment we met. The person I could with whom I could share my most irreverent thoughts and reactions as an HR professional. I certainly won't forget all the times we laughed until we cried. I can't believe that I won't hear that fabulous voice any more - although I think I will always be able to recall it in my mind. I like to think that you and Philip have reconnected with my David and are somewhere sharing a song and laughter.
Rick, your cheerfulness has truely been missed by all ABA employees. May God keep you in His loving arms. Rest In Peace.

Rick's ABA family mourns his loss. Rare is the person so widely admired and respected, yet at the same time doesn't take himself too seriously. Rick's irreverent sense of humor and uncanny ability to brighten the day of all who came across him will be remembered fondly for years to come.A

My condolences to Rick's family. Rick was a very personal co-worker. He made me feel welcomed when I joined the HR department at ABA ten years ago. I miss his laugh most of all. God bless.
Rick was a wonderful person. He fought a courageous battle against cancer always keeping a great sense of humor and style! I am glad that him and Philip are together again. The love they shared was one that many people search their whole lives for. I will always miss them, but I know that I now have two more angels in heaven waiting for me.
Rick has been missed in the hallways of ABA since his retirement in 2007. The one thing that kept his congenial spirit alive is my communication with him on FB. He always demonstrated a strong/upbeat word or encouragement. My prayer and thoughts for strength and couragae go out to the family.
