PATRICIA ANN LINK CANBY Patricia (Patty) Link Canby, 78, passed peacefully at The Moorings in Lewes, DE on January 4, 2022. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 19, 1943. Her parents were William E. Link and Anna Rita Lin Read Obituary
Pat was my first social contact when I moved to Delaware. She introduced me to the Red Hats, Lewes Senior Center, and TOPS, of which I became a member. She showed me the roads, short cuts, and we enjoyed many meals together. We also took trips with Lewes Senior Center and Delaware Community College. I also visited her at the Moorings, and we went to lunch a number of times before COVID. I will miss her always. She was a very dear, sweet friend.

Charles had the best years of his life after meeting and marrying Patty. Patty endeared the Canby family with her humor, wit and positive attitude towards life. After Charles passed on, Patty’s father- and mother-in-law frequently drove to Lewes to visit Patty and eat lunch together. The Canby family so appreciates our family connections. Patty and Charles are together again at last.

I just found out this morning that Pat had passed. Sending special thoughts of comfort to Pat's family.
I met Pat Link in the early 1970s when I started work at the Phila Rec Dept. We became very good friends. At one point she was my general supervisor. Since we were both Scorpios, we were very loyal friends. She was a prime witness in my federal court case
against the City of Philadelphia, which I won in 1985. I knew that she was taking a chance siding with me, but, this was Pat, always helping a friend. She was one of the few people who
dared to speak with me during the 5 years of litigation. The others feared retribution from the Commissioner. She was a mentor and dear friend to me and many in the Dept and community. ;May she rest in Peace.
Dear Family,
I met Patty in the early 70's when she bought Loretta to Mr. "T's" barn on Darby Road in Havertown, PA. Loretta was only11 and I was 19. I am thankful everyday that my friendship with Loretta has lasted all the years. I have wonderful memories of Patty, Loretta, and the "gang" at the stable with their horses, Sioux & Brandy. Over the years, and especially during the happier times, it has been extremely entertaining and hilarious knowing the family. There are not too many dull moments in large families!
Patty will certainly be missed and I am glad that she is at peace now. God Bless you all.
