Manuel Anthony Mendoza "Tony" Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Manuel “Tony” Mendoza born in Washington, DC and passed away at the age of 81 on January 1, 2022. Tony never met a stranger. He is known for his kind-loving spirit and never-ending humor and pranks. Tony was a devoted public servant who had 44 years of service in his federal career including 32 years as a U.S. Postal Service employee at the White House. He served under seven presidents dating back to President Richard Nixon through President George W. Bush. Tony loved spending time with his family, whether it was fishing on his pond or just sitting around and “looking at each other”. Tony also enjoyed hanging out on his porch with his buddies having a cold beverage. He spent most of his days with his beloved dog, Bella, who he rescued and instantly had a bond with. They both enjoyed going for drives and stopping to chase the geese or having lunch together. Tony was a beloved Father of Kathy Healy (Billy Healy) and Rita Mendoza (Donnie Cameron); a most loving Pop to Kristen Lenhart (Brian Lenhart) and their children, Brynn, and Blake; Tony Cameron (Charla Cameron) and their children, Colton, and Carly. Tony also had two brothers, Severino and Eric. Tony’s infectious spirit and smile will be missed greatly by all. Prayer services will be held on Saturday January 22, 2022, at 12 noon at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 34874 Atlantic Avenue, Ocean View, DE where friends may visit beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro, DE.
