Kristina Avis Kirby, age 69, of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born on January 13, 1953 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Samuel and Avis (Prescott) Sewall. Mrs. Kirby was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Kirby is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Kirby of Lewes, DE; her sons: Christopher Kellenbenz, Sr. (Tammy) of Henderson, MD, Roger Kellenbenz, II (Kristine) of Seaford, DE, Brian Kirby (Dee) of Easton, MD, Steven Kirby (Amy) of Church Hill, MD, Michael Kirby of Easton, MD, and Gage Kirby of Lewes, DE; her daughter, Taren Knopp (Stephen) of Easton, MD; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; her brother, Michael Sewall of Lewes, DE; and her sister, Marianne Wilhelm of Federalsburg, MD. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the American Legion, Post 19, 12168 Laurel Road, Laurel, DE 19956.
