Harry Lee Workman, age 83, of Georgetown, DE was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. He was born on May 23, 1938, in Weston, WV, the son of the late Stanton and Annabelle (Simpson) Workman. He was a proud veteran, having served for three years in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 – 1958. After serving his country, Harry’s path led him into the insurance business, working for Allstate for a forty-year career, a job that provided him great pride and fulfillment. In 1980, Harry became a born again Christian and he committed his life to Jesus Christ. He and his wife were devoted members of the New Life Bible Fellowship Church in Long Neck, DE and he was an active member of the Gideon Ministry for twenty years. Above all else, he cherished his time spent with his family and friends. Harry is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-three years, Sandra Fae (Gearhart) Workman, his son David of Colorado, his daughter Marsha of Rhode Island and five grandchildren. Harry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, Christian brother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. A Chapel Committal Service with military honors will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriot’s Way, Millsboro, DE. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 1:00 PM at New Life Bible Fellowship Church, 24771 Cannon Road, Millsboro, DE where friends may call an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Mr. Workman’s memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriot’s Way, Milford, DE 19963 or www.delawarehospice.org.
