David J. Baues

May 6, 1944 - January 8, 2020

David J. Baues, age 75, of Ellendale, DE, formerly of Royersford, PA, passed away in the afternoon hours, Wednesday, January 8, 2020. He was the husband of Rosemary (nee’ Abruzzo) Baues. He was born on May 6, 1944, in Queens, NY, son of the late Theodore R. & Lillian A. (nee’ Jablon) Baues. A Veteran of the US Navy, David was also a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. After many years as a sales representative he retired from Vanguard on May 10, 2010. David was also an avid Bee Keeper with his wife and a highly regarded educator about the honeybee. He was well known in area Farmers Markets for 20 years as Baues' Busy Bees and was a member of the Lewes Bee Keeping Club. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his siblings: Robert W. and Dennis Baues. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Lillian S. “Lili” (D. Allan) Gray and Heidi D. (Kerry A.) Mull; and his sister, Virginia Hailu. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held with a gathering from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958. Final Services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Kindly omit flowers.
