June 6, 1935 - December 1, 2021
Antonio J. Costanzo, 86 years young, of Milton, DE passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, surrounded by his all his loved ones. He was born on June 6, 1935, in Scranton, PA, son of the late Vincent and Josephine Costanzo. At the age of 18, Antonio enlisted in the US Air Force and served as an Air Man 1st Class, thus beginning his love of airplanes. Following his service to country, he began a lifelong career as an aircraft mechanic, lending his expertise to such airlines as National, Eastern, and American. Retiring after more than 30 dedicated years, Antonio enjoyed a busy and happy life, spending his time with family, going to casinos, traveling, and most of all, dining out. He also had an appreciation and affinity for fine wine. Antonio found much joy in building model airplanes and trains; so much so, that he created an entire miniature village for them. He was a faithful member of St. Jude the Apostle Church and a Second Degree Knight of Columbus. Above all, Antonio cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Antonio was loved by many and will be deeply and genuinely missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Antonio was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Lila. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63, Theresa M. Costanzo; his children: Nancy Jo Costanzo, Vincent Costanzo (Hugh), Anthony Costanzo (Nora), and Theresa Rivette (Jon); his grandchildren: Michael, Nicholas, Erica, Anthony, Angelica, and Thomas; and his great-grandchildren: Gabrielle and Veronica. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE. A viewing will be held the night prior, Monday, December 6, 2021, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE.
