William L. Skelton, age 73 of Lewes, Delaware passed away quietly on Sunday March 7th, 2010, at Beebe Hospital in Lewes, DE surrounded by his family. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 9th, 1936, son of the late Alon Read Obituary
Dad was a decent and earnest man. He was a good father who always strived to provide the best for his family. While I am very sad to lose him, he is at rest and free from his suffering.
I am proud of Dad's life and the role model he was for me. I owe my work ethic, good humor, and so much more to him.
I loved him and will live with his spirit always.

Bill and I worked together for 10 years on the ships.
He always spoke of his family and their progress.
Bill was a proud family man,was my friend and will always remain in my thoughts.
Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. Although we live so very far away and didn't get to visit as often as we would have liked, I was close to my Uncle Bill. No one was happier than my uncle Bill when I graduated from LSU and, of course, when we won our last Championship game. We spent countless hours on the phone talking about LSU football and for that I'll be forever greatful. Those memories will always put a smile on my face. May we all take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over us.
