Christmas has the opportunity to bring loved ones together. In writing my Christmas cards, I looked up Jean's address and was so sad to read of her death. Heaven's arms must have welcomed her home. Jean and her family were part of my college life - sorority and sports brought us together, I am sure every word of tribute written is true and multiplied over and over. She was a kind, caring friend who is profoundly missed.
My prayers go forth for God's comfort to all.

I have fond memories of Jean (and Dawn) from their days of running the Bed and Breakfast in New Market, VA, my hometown. She and Dawn were so helpful and kind to me during the times I visited there. Both of them spent a lot of time taking care of my father who was not an easy person to take care of. I was so sad to hear of her passing, knowing her as a kind and loving person. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Jean was a wonderful, caring neighbor in New Market, and my mother was blessed to be the recipient of her love and friendship. She held a special place in my mother;s heart- and in mine. My mother also died on June 9, a sad coincidence. I imagine them joyfully greeting each other in Heaven!

My sincere sympathy to June, Jean's mother. To Dawn, her dear companion and partner. To her sisters Kathryn and Susan. Jean's life was a light to all who knew her. She was well-loved and she loved well. My prayers and sympathy to the family.

I am so saddened at the loss of such a wonderful, loving, caring friend. I worked with her for several years at SMH. She was such a joyful and positive soul. I hope Dawn and her family find some consolation in that she was loved by many and she will be missed by us all.
