Lt. Col Gary A. Noble (Ret.) of Townsend, DE, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at age 69. Gary’s death was sudden, but peaceful in a serene setting at his home. Gary was born in Saginaw, MI and always retained that Michiga Read Obituary
Gary was a close friend of mine in high school and church. He was such a joy to be around and super funny. Whether it was at an MC5 concert, boyscouts and all of high school you could count on him to make you laugh. Although I lost contact with him in later in life, I do remember his drive and ambition to make a better life for him and his family. Love and peace to his family. Rest in peace Gary.
Gary was my head nurse on 6C at Christiana Hospital. He was kind, and fair to everyone. He was never to busy to speak with you, with any concerns. He always made time, for his employees. I enjoyed working for him. Gary was the best. R.I.P.
Although I didn’t know Gary personally, he must have been a wonderful, special man to have a very special daughter in Marcy! She is a very special person and I know her Dad must have had a hand in who she became. I worked for Marcy for many years and consider her my friend and mentor. I know how much Marcy loved her Dad and he was her hero! I know Marcy’s children and husband had a wonderful role model and grandfather and father-in-law. Gary will be missed very much but will live always in their hearts!
Gary and I have been good friends for 33 years. He saw in me leadership qualities I did not see. Because of his interest in my military career, I commissioned as an MSC Officer in 1993. He is the reason why I have excelled in my personal life and military career. He guided and mentored me. He was an amazing man, a scholar and great leader. Whatever questions or concerns you had, he had a way to help you find the answer. Life will certainly be different without him. Rest in peace my dear friend. Liza Orlando (Lt Col Retired)
