Eleanora is now on her next great adventure and has left us to miss her fiesty personality. Happy journeys, El, until we meet again!
To the Corrigan Clan,
We Duncan's are very saddened that Eleanor has passed. As neighbors for 26 years, we will always remember both Eleanor and Charlie. How Charlie gave us his great advice as we put in our own walkway ourselves to our home and built our driveway and would just stop to chat with us. Eleanor, who after Charlie passed, would drive up to Surf Ave, park her car and read her books while overlooking the ocean near the Henlopen or be on the boardwalk doing the same.
Our son Doug, tossing the football with Anthony on Kent as children. We would check in with her before we left for winters in Florida and check back in when we returned. She would thank us for blowing the leaves out of the park across from her home.
The Corrigan Clan has always brought us smiles especially when you threw a "hurricane party" on your front porch during Irene. We had parked our cars up near City Hall and closed our blinds. You all had cars packed in and across your driveway so the police stopped and asked you for next of kin!
That she was always surrounded by family after she lost Charlie is a tribute to her character and love for her family and your love, in return, for her. Those are just a small slice of our memories. May God bless Eleanor and All of the Corrigan Clan. We will always miss her.
