Dear Barbara and Family:
I send my condolences and prayers to the family of Ed Barnard Sr. Ed was a friend, a fellow employee for many years during our time with Commercial Intertech, and a fine and feisty leader as my successor at Astron Luxembourg. The caliber of his work, his intelligence, and his excellent educational and work experience, especially in new product development and value-added programs, were instrumental elements in advancing Astron's excellent growth and profitability throughout Europe and elsewhere in the world. Even today, I am confident that Astron's new owners continue to appreciate his contribution during those impressive growth years.
Ed Barnard's good work throughout his career was far reaching and will remain an important part of the Commercial Intertech and Astron Building Systems legacy for many years to come. He was a man of good character, honest, forthright, and well respected by all.
