Life Legacy

Mr. Thomas V. O’Hanlon, of Millsboro, DE passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the age of 76. He was born on May 12, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Thomas V. O’Hanlon, Sr. and Anne (Youse) O’Hanlon.

Mr. O’Hanlon dedicated 35 years of service to the Nabisco Company in Philadelphia, PA, retiring in 1991. Upon retirement, he and his family moved from Bensalem, PA to Millsboro, DE where he enjoyed the outdoors and spent many evenings watching the geese on the lake near his home. He had a very outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Mr. O’Hanlon was a jokester who always had a story or joke to tell. He was the ultimate family man who was devoted to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. O’Hanlon is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathern “Elaine”; six children: Debbie Fusetti and husband Luke of Philadelphia, PA, Thomas O’Hanlon III of Las Vegas, NV, Michael O’Hanlon of Wildwood, NJ, ConElaine Obarowski and husband Rob of Richboro, PA, Kevin G. O’Hanlon and wife Cindy of Sicklerville, NJ and Jen DiCarlantonio and husband Tony of Doylestown, PA; 12 grandchildren: Luke and Jamie Fusetti of Drexel Hill, PA, Pete Fusetti and Jill Beck of Philadelphia, PA, Anthony and Lina Fusetti of Philadelphia, PA, Sarah and Michael Smith of Whitby Island, WA, Grace Obarowski of Richboro, PA, Garrett Obarowski of Richboro, PA, Lucy Obarowski of Richboro, PA, Thomas O’Hanlon IV and Kim O’Hanlon of San Diego, CA, Nicole and Shawn Morgan of Surprise, AZ, Cara, Jack and Christopher DiCarlantonio of Doylestown, PA; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Betty Grota of Omaha, NE, Millie O’Hanlon of Waycross, GA and Kathleen Hallman of Richboro, PA; and two brothers: Joseph O’Hanlon of Cincinnati, OH and Thomas Lemmon of Stow, OH. He will also be missed dearly by his beloved Yorkie, “Abby.” In addition to his parents, Mr. O’Hanlon was preceded in death by two sisters: Ann Haas and Mary Soder.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE 19958. Interment and all other services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
