Biography

Patricia I. Whitlock, age 69, of Lewes, DE died suddenly on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was born in Chester, PA on March 21, 1941, daughter of the late Walter Chandler and Alice Joan (Bryant) Chandler. Mrs. Whitlock was the last remaining of the six children in her family. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wellington S. Whitlock Jr. (2004).

Mrs. Whitlock was devoted and caring to her children and their families. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to travel, enjoyed cooking, catering and going to the movies.

She is survived by her son Wellington S. Whitlock, III and his wife Anna; two daughters: Jacquelyn P. Atkinson of Ridley Park, PA and Tammy Whitlock and her companion Michael Doyle of Bear, DE; and four grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 9:30 AM. Burial will be private.
