Cecelia R. White age 98 of Lewes,DE, passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Brooklyn,NY, on Saturday, December 30, 1911 daughter of the late Richard and Kate (McAuliff) Leary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh White who passed away in January, 2002 and two brothers and two sisters.
Cecelia was living with she son and daughter-in-law since moving to Lewes in 2002. She was previously from Tom's River and River's Edge, NJ.
She was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church,Lewes, DE, was a former member of the Church of St. Joseph, Toms River, NJ and loved to bowl.
Surviving is her son, Hugh White and his wife Claire of Lewes, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 509 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ 08753. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ, 08775 on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, prior to mass.
